He does not notice its dead, leaden weight until he has time on his hands. A single second is

heavier  than a  sack  of flour.  He  would  need a car jack to  budge  a half an hour an inch off

the  floor.  At  night  in bed,  he cannot breath.  The  hours stack  one by one like  stones upon

his chest.
